Infineon Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is the Malaysian arm of German semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies AG, operating in Malaysia since 1973. Its Melaka site in the Batu Berendam Free Trade Zone is the group's largest back-end assembly and test facility and also hosts R&D and IT functions, while the Kulim site in Kedah houses front-end wafer fabrication including a 200mm silicon carbide power fab, and Bayan Lepas in Penang handles back-end engineering and package development. Malaysia is Infineon's largest country base by headcount.
