Great Eastern Life Assurance (Malaysia) Berhad is a life insurer that began operating in Malaysia in 1908 and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Singapore's Great Eastern Holdings, itself part of the OCBC group. It serves over 4 million policies in force through 21 branches and close to 22,000 agents nationwide. Its sister company Great Eastern General Insurance (Malaysia) Berhad handles general insurance, and both are headquartered at Menara Great Eastern, Kuala Lumpur.
